COUNSELOR NOTES
Juniors who are interested in attending Boys State or Girls State on June 6th -12th please see Mrs. Rito as soon as possible for more information.  This is a wonderful opportunity to experience how government works and is good to put on a senior resume.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
March 15-19 (Spring Break) volunteer help at the Recreation Center from 10 am to 5 pm daily.  You will be building batting cage net and installation of such net at Iron Mike's Batting Cages, North Blue Bonnet Park.

Help is needed for the Liberal Invitational Track Meet on April 9 after school.  If you are interested, sign up in the athletic office by April 7.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Seniors -  You will no longer receive a paper version of counselor notes. You will need to go to the Liberal High School website, then to the counselor's page and click on the counselors' notes for the updated scholarship information.

Juniors will go to SCCC on Wednesday, March 10th from 9:10 a.m. until after 1:00 pm.  They should be back by 6th hour.  Only students classified as 11th grade will go.

All wrestlers, parents, coaches, cheerleaders, managers and trainers for the wrestling team are invited to the Awards Banquet on Monday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  It will be a covered dish dinner.  Bring a main entre and a salad or dessert for your family.
 
The tryouts for the LHS Variety Show will be on Tuesday, March 23 in the Jim Maskus Auditorium. There is a sign up sheet on the window at the office.  We look forward to the acts, so polish them up and be sure to audition!

Those interested in summer Driver Education need to sign up in the counselor's office with Mrs. Heston.  You must be 14 years old.  DEADLINE is APRIL 23, 2010.
